Encounter With "The Black Beauty"

I have always wanted a mountain bike. I used to fantasize about going for road trips along the ghats, performing all kinds of stunts on the dusty trails. But never had the courage to buy one, as mountain bikes are expensive... really really expensive, neither did I have the time to indulge in such fantasies.

My manager comes to office on his bike(bicycle) and I always imagined that I would buy a mountain bike someday, but the real tripping point for me to get a bike for myself was when, Kapil, a colleague from work, got one for himself.

So one evening, after office hours, I dragged Kapil to the bicycle shop. I decided on a budget of 8K and made a promise to myself that no matter how "sexy" the bike may look, I am not going to go above my budget.

We reached the bicycle shop, which was in Shaniwarwada, on my motor bike. The shopkeeper showed me one bike. It was black, sleek, and looked very sexy with white decals. Perfect !!. Just like the bike in my imaginations. It was love at first sight.

With a price tag of 12K, it was way beyond my budget. Even though I asked the shopkeeper to show me some bikes within my budget, I couldn't take my eyes off the "Black Beauty". I was completely enamoured by it's charm.

Noticing that he was about to loose a deal, the shopkeeper brought down the price to 11K. Ultimately after bargaining some more, I ended up paying 10K.

Now I have a Mountain bike, The Black Beauty... Yipeeee.....

I have been thinking about writing for a long long time......

Now that I have started this blog, I will make it a point to write at least one blog every day.
